Bond Behavior of Prestressed CFRP Strips-to-Concrete Joints Using the EBROG Method: Experimental and Analytical Evaluation

چکیده

Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites are widely employed as externally bonded reinforcement (EBR) systems for strengthening reinforced concrete members. More recently, a new technique, referred to on grooves (EBROG), has been proposed, which is based using number of throughout the substrate enhance bond strength between FRP composite and concrete. This study investigates influence groove depth resulting debonding process that can be observed in prestressed carbon strips. To do so, prestressing force release tests were conducted series EBR EBROG strips specimens. Test results demonstrated fracture leading specimens developed significantly different manner with respect case Specifically, fractures ran through deeper layers became deeper. Numerical analyses also proposed scrutinize actual bond–slip law characterizing both It was shown trilinear appropriate simulating interface behavior

experimental and analytical investigation of behavior of rc beams strengthened by prestressed cfrp straps using nsm method

the current study is focused on strengthening of reinforced concrete (rc) beams using cfrp straps installed in pre-cut grooves. the method which is referred as near surface mounted (nsm) benefits considerable advantages in comparison with the conventional externally bonded reinforcement (ebr) method and provides better normal and shear stress transfer between the frp and concrete substrate. the...

Analytical Solutions for the Flexural Behavior of Metal Beams Strengthened with Prestressed Unbonded CFRP Plates

Trapezoidal prestressed unbonded retrofit (TPUR) systems have been recently developed and tested. The authors have already developed a comprehensive and accurate analytical solution for the TPUR system that takes many system parameters into account. The main aim of this paper is to develop a simplified analytical solution for predicting the behavior of metal beams that have been strengthened wi...

Bond between Cfrp Sheets and Concrete

This paper presents the findings of an experimental program aimed at investigating the strain distribution between Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) sheets and concrete. CFRP is used as externally bonded reinforcement for concrete structures to improve flexure and shear strength and confinement of concrete. The effects of bonded length, concrete strength, and number of plies (or stiffness)...

Experimental and Theoretical Investigation on Shear Strengthening of RC Precraced Continuous T-beams Using CFRP Strips

Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets are externally bonded to reinforced concrete (RC) members to provide additional strength such as flexural, shear, etc. It has been widely accepted that carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRPs) can be used effectively to strengthen reinforced concrete (RC) members. This paper is intended to study and use externally bonded CFRP strips to repair and st...
